What time can guests check in and check out?

Our rooms are available from 3:00 PM on the day of arrival. We kindly ask you to leave your room by 10:00 AM on the day of departure.

Is your hotel family-friendly?

Absolutely! Some of our duplex rooms are particularly suitable for families and can accommodate 4 to 6 guests.

Family rates are available upon request, and we will be happy to provide you with a personalized offer.

What time is breakfast served?

Our breakfast buffet is served from 7:30 AM to 10:00 AM.

If you need to leave earlier, we will be happy to prepare a simple breakfast for you upon request.

Are pets allowed?

Pets are very welcome in our hotel. A charge of CHF 10 per pet per day applies, excluding food.

What are the restaurant opening hours?

In our restaurant, meals are served from 11:30 AM to 2:00 PM and from 6:30 PM to 9:00 PM.
Please remember to reserve your table.

How does the half board option work at Hôtel de Moiry?

The half-board package includes breakfast and a fixed three-course dinner menu, carefully prepared each evening by our chef using fresh, seasonal ingredients. Half-board meals are served from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM.

Please note that this package is designed to offer a single set menu each evening. If you would prefer to make frequent changes to the menu or choose dishes according to your personal preferences, we recommend ordering from our à la carte menu, which allows you to select your meals freely.

If you have allergies or specific dietary requirements, please inform us in advance so that we can determine whether it is possible to adapt our menus accordingly.

If you plan to dine elsewhere on one evening during your stay, please let us know at breakfast. The value of the meal will then be credited to your bill.

Is parking available for hotel guests?

A public parking area is located next to the hotel.

  • Summer: CHF 5 per day
  • Winter: CHF 10 per day

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept payments in cash, TWINT, and by credit card.

Is the hotel accessible for guests with reduced mobility?

`Our hotel is a century-old building and does not have an elevator. Unfortunately, the property is therefore not accessible to guests with reduced mobility.

What is your cancellation policy?

  • Up to 1 month before arrival: free cancellation
  • Less than 30 days before arrival: 50% of the total stay will be charged
  • Less than 14 days before arrival: 100% of the total stay will be charged
  • In the event of an early departure: 100% of the remaining stay will be charged

Is Wi-Fi available at the hotel?

Free high-speed Wi-Fi internet access is available in both the guest rooms and public areas of the hotel.

You will receive the access details upon arrival, and we will be happy to provide any assistance you may need.

Where can I charge my electric vehicle?

Several charging stations are available in the village of Grimentz. More information is available via the following link.

Can I leave my luggage at the hotel?

We offer a luggage storage on the day of your arrival before check-in and on the day of your departure after check-out.

Do you offer a laundry service?

Our hotel offers a laundry service. All the necessary information can be found on the laundry form available in your room. Our reception team will be happy to assist you with any additional information.

If I go out in the evening, can I access the hotel at night?

If you go out in the evening, please take your room key card with you. It can be used to open the main entrance door of the hotel.

Do you provide equipment for babies?

We provide a baby cot with bedding, a kettle, and a high chair in the breakfast room free of charge. Our kitchen staff can also warm up baby food or milk for your child.

Is it possible to get an extra pillow in my room?

Yes of course, we will be happy to provide an additional pillow.

Do you have a ski room?

You may store your skis and ski boots in our ski room, which is equipped with a boot dryer. Skis and ski boots are not permitted in guest rooms or hotel corridors.

Can I buy a ski pass at the hotel?

You can order your ski passes through us (at least 30 days before your arrival) or purchase them directly at the ski lift ticket offices.

Do you offer picnic lunches?

We are happy to prepare picnic lunches upon request. Please complete the order form and return it to us by 7:00 PM the day before.

Is the hotel non-smoking?

Yes, the entire hotel is non-smoking. We kindly ask you not to smoke in the rooms or at the windows. Additional cleaning charges may apply if this policy is not respected.

Do you provide a safe for valuables?

All our rooms are equipped with a safe. However, valuables are not insured by Hôtel de Moiry.

Is there a kettle in the room?

Upon request, we will be pleased to provide a kettle in your room.

Can I drink the tap water?

Our tap water is of excellent quality. Throughout your stay, you can enjoy fresh mountain spring water directly from the tap.

Do you provide phone chargers and adapters?

We are happy to provide adapters or chargers against a refundable deposit.

How can I get to Hôtel de Moiry in Grimentz?

Hôtel de Moiry is easily accessible by car, with direct access right in front of the entrance. If you are travelling by public transport, the PostBus stops at “Carovilla”, just a short walk from the hotel.

How far are the ski lifts from the hotel?

The ski lifts are approximately a 7-minute walk from the hotel. The route takes you through the pedestrianised centre of Grimentz, one of the most beautiful villages in Switzerland.

During the winter season, a free shuttle service is also available, making access to the ski facilities even easier.

Where is the tourist office located?

The tourist office is located 50 metres below our hotel. The staff will be happy to provide information about local events, activities and excursions in the region.

There are two grocery stores in the village: Coop and Marché Villageois. Opening hours vary depending on the season.

Which hikes and walks can be accessed directly form the hotel?

Many walks and hiking trails start directly from the hotel and are suitable for all levels. Our team will be pleased to recommend routes that best match your interests and abilities.

If needed, we can provide walking poles and topographic maps of the Val d’Anniviers region.
