The Hôtel-Restaurant de Moiry is a place to recharge in Grimentz.
Each room is unique: a large illuminated photograph highlights an animal from the fauna of the Val d’Anniviers, offering an original companion throughout your stay.
All rooms are furnished with pine, Swiss stone pine (arolle), and larch wood, releasing the natural scent of alpine forests.
Whether you are heading out for a hike, a day of skiing, or simply to enjoy the Valais Alps, our generous and delicious breakfast gives you the energy to start your day in the best possible way.

Chalet Le Mayen
In our Chalet Le Mayen, a typical Grimentz “raccard” with aged wood and carved balconies, each floor features two rooms: one with two separate beds and the other with a single bed. Both rooms share a bathroom.
This is an ideal option for a family with one child or for friends who prefer separate rooms, while enjoying the hotel’s services and common areas including the restaurant. These rooms are more rustic, which is why we offer them at a lower price than our standard rooms.
Please note: Access to the Mayen is via a relatively steep staircase. We therefore recommend taking this into consideration when making your reservation, especially if you have difficulty walking.

Arrival, booking and payment
What time can I check in and check out?
Our rooms are available from 3:00 pm on the day of arrival. We kindly ask you to vacate your room by 10:00 am on the day of departure.
What are your cancellation conditions?
- Up to 1 month before the arrival date: free of charge
- Less than 30 days before arrival: 50% of the total stay
- Less than 14 days before arrival: 100% of the total stay
- In the event of an early departure: 100% of the remaining stay
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept cash, TWINT and credit cards.
Is the hotel suitable for families?
Yes, of course! Some of our duplex rooms are particularly suitable for families and can accommodate 4 to 6 people.
Family rates are available on request. We will be happy to provide you with a personalised offer.
Are pets allowed?
Pets are welcome at our hotel. We charge CHF 10 per pet per day, excluding food.
Is the hotel accessible to guests with reduced mobility?
Our hotel is located in a century-old building without a lift. Unfortunately, the hotel is therefore not accessible to guests with reduced mobility.
Can I leave my luggage at the hotel?
We can store your luggage free of charge on the day of arrival before check-in or on the day of departure after check-out.
If I go out in the evening, can I access the hotel at night?
If you go out in the evening, please take your room key card with you. It will open the main entrance door of the hotel.
Meals and half-board
What time is breakfast served?
Our breakfast buffet is served from 7:30 am to 10:00 am.
If you need to leave earlier, we will be happy to prepare a simple breakfast for you on request.
How does half-board work at Hôtel de Moiry?
The half-board option includes breakfast as well as a fixed three-course menu, carefully prepared each evening by our chef, with fresh and seasonal produce taking centre stage. Half-board meals are served from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm.
Please note that this option includes one set menu each evening. If you would like to make frequent changes to the menu or adapt your dishes according to your preferences, we recommend choosing from our à la carte menu instead, which allows you to select your dishes freely.
If you have any allergies or specific dietary requirements, please let us know in advance so that we can check whether it is possible to adapt our menus accordingly.
If you would like to eat out one evening during your stay, please let us know at breakfast. The amount of the meal will then be credited to your bill.
Do you offer picnic baskets?
We can prepare picnics for you on request. Please fill in the order form and return it by 7:00 pm on the day before.
Services and comfort
Is there Wi-Fi in the hotel?
Free high-speed Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel, both in the rooms and in the public areas. We will be happy to provide you with the access details upon arrival.
Do you provide baby equipment?
We provide a baby cot with bed linen, a kettle and a high chair in the breakfast room free of charge.
Our kitchen can also warm up food or milk for your baby.
Can I have an extra pillow in my room?
An extra pillow is available on request.
Is there a kettle in the room?
We will be happy to provide a kettle in your room on request.
Do you provide phone chargers and adapters?
We are happy to provide adapters or chargers against a deposit.
Do you have a safe for valuables?
All our rooms have a safe. However, your valuables are not insured by Hôtel de Moiry.
Is the hotel non-smoking?
Yes, the entire hotel is non-smoking. We kindly ask you not to smoke in the rooms or at the windows. Cleaning charges may apply if this rule is not respected.
Do you offer a laundry service?
Our hotel offers a laundry service. You will find all the necessary information on the form provided in your room. Our reception team will be happy to assist you with any further information.
Does the hotel have a spa or offer massages?
Our hotel does not have a spa or wellness area. However, our team will be delighted to recommend the best addresses for spas, wellness centres and massages in the Val d’Anniviers, according to your preferences.

Can I drink the tap water?
Our tap water is of excellent quality. Throughout your stay, you can enjoy our fresh mountain spring water.
Skiing, getting here and practical information
How do I get to Hôtel de Moiry in Grimentz?
Hôtel de Moiry is easily accessible by car, with direct access in front of the entrance. By public transport, the PostBus stops at “Carovilla”, just a two-minute walk from the hotel.
Is parking available for hotel guests?
There is a public car park next to the hotel. Parking costs CHF 5 per day in summer and CHF 10 per day in winter.
Where can I charge my electric vehicle?
There are several charging stations in the village of Grimentz. More information can be found under this link.
Can I bring my bicycle, mountain bike or e-bike?
We provide our ski room free of charge for storing your bicycle, mountain bike or e-bike. You can also charge your e-bike there.
How far are the ski lifts from the hotel?
The ski lifts are approximately a 7-minute walk from the hotel. You will walk through the pedestrianised centre of Grimentz, which is considered one of Switzerland’s most beautiful villages.
In winter, a free shuttle service is also available to make getting to the ski lifts even easier.
Do you have a ski room?
You can store your skis and ski boots in our ski room, which is equipped with a ski-boot dryer. Ski boots and skis are not permitted in the rooms or corridors of the hotel.
Can I buy my ski pass at the hotel?
You can order your ski passes through us at least 30 days before your arrival, or purchase them directly from the ski lifts.
Where can I withdraw or exchange money?
There is a cash machine near the ski lift ticket offices.
If you need to exchange money, the Immobilia Grimentz estate agency also operates as a currency exchange office.
